SALES MANAGER – INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop a high-performing sales team within the industrial air compressor industry.

The ideal candidate will bring experience within the compressed air industry, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record of driving sales growth and customer satisfaction.

Required Experience

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably within the air compressor industry
  • Previous experience managing or mentoring sales professionals preferred
  • Proven success achieving revenue growth and sales performance objectives
  • Strong understanding of industrial compressed air systems and related equipment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Experience building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
  • Strong business development and territory management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM systems

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a sales team in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Strong customer service and consultative sales abilities
  • Ability to analyze sales performance metrics and develop growth strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Professional communication and presentation abilities

Key Responsibilities

In this role, the Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing the daily activities of the sales department
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies to support revenue and profitability goals
  • Coaching, mentoring, and supporting sales representatives throughout the assigned market
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships with industrial and commercial accounts
  • Supporting business development initiatives and identifying new market opportunities
  • Monitoring sales performance, forecasting, and operational metrics
  • Collaborating with service, operations, and leadership teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational success
  • Assisting with major account development, customer presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry trends, competitive products, and market conditions
  • Professionally representing the organization during customer meetings, industry events, and business development activities
