About the Role

A leading manufacturer of commercial food processing and labor-saving equipment is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to enhance communication, visibility, and service between the company’s main office and its field organization — foodservice personnel, dealers, consultants, and independent reps.

The Regional Sales Manager identifies and communicates food-processing and labor-saving solutions while administering company policies and procedures established by the main office. This is a field-based position serving a multi-state region.

Key Responsibilities

•    Identify sales opportunities in multiunit environments such as healthcare, school foodservice, culinary schools, and restaurant chains.

•    Perform field product demonstrations, testing, and education.

•    Schedule, plan, coordinate, and demonstrate products at trade shows.

•    Attend buying group conferences to demonstrate products and educate members.

•    Visit the assigned field organization on a regular basis to improve the company’s representation in the field.

•    Conduct field sales meetings to improve the product knowledge of the field organization.

•    Develop, maintain, and monitor a working understanding of the complete distribution network in the assigned geography, and communicate that information back to the main office.

•    Serve as the primary contact for field organization concerns regarding equipment shipments, performance, or service-related issues — with timely follow-up and verification of resolutions in line with company policies and procedures.

•    Schedule, coordinate, and conduct factory sales training sessions for the field organization when required.

•    Review and assess territory sales data, and react to underperforming accounts, categories, and areas.

•    Represent the company at industry events such as buying group meetings, trade shows, and seminars, including occasionally outside the assigned territory.

Location Requirement

All candidates must live in the Chicagoland area to perform this role. Relocation is not provided.
