Job Description

Technical Service Manager

Greenville, SC | Full-Time | Permanent

Where Technical Mastery Meets Real Impact

Our client manufactures professional cooking and food-preparation equipment trusted by supermarkets, restaurants, and foodservice operators across the U.S. Our products — built around steam, convection, and advanced heating technology — operate in demanding commercial kitchens every single day. When they need support, our service team is the difference between a satisfied customer and a lost one.

They are growing our U.S. operations and looking for a Technical Service Manager who can own the technical service function from the ground up — supporting customers, building partner capability, and solving problems that others can’t.

If you’re a technically elite service professional with deep experience in commercial foodservice or supermarket equipment, and you want a role with real scope and real visibility, read on.

What You’ll Do

Lead Technical Service Operations. You’ll manage and oversee service activities across the U.S. market — troubleshooting and resolving complex issues involving electrical schematics, steam systems, gas-fired heating, and electrical heating systems. You’re the technical authority when the problem is hard, and the stakes are high.

Work Side by Side with Supermarket Service Teams. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be a direct working partner to supermarket service organizations — coordinating repairs, supporting installations, and resolving in-field issues quickly and effectively. You’ll be the person they call when they’re stuck, and you’ll rarely let them down.

Field Troubleshooting You’ll handle remote diagnostics and conduct on-site visits when the situation demands it. When something can’t be fixed from a desk, you go.

Keep the Parts Flowing. You’ll assist in managing parts inventory to ensure critical components are always available, and coordinate shipping and logistics for replacement parts, service equipment, and warranty returns. Service operations run on parts availability — you’ll help make sure that’s never the bottleneck.

Train and Elevate the Network You’ll develop and deliver technical training for staff, distributors, and service partners — building a network that can handle more and escalate less.

Maintain the Record You’ll keep accurate service records, warranty documentation, and field reports — the operational backbone that supports everything else.

What You Bring

Required:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Expertise in steam, gas-fired heating, and electrical heating systems
  • Prior experience in a technical service role supporting commercial foodservice or supermarket equipment
  • Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills — remote and in-person
  • Familiarity with parts inventory management and shipping/logistics
  • Clear, effective communication with customers, distributors, and internal teams
  • Willingness to travel for field service support as needed

Preferred:

  • Direct experience working with supermarket service teams or comparable end-user service organizations
  • Relevant technical certifications or formal technical education
  • Experience conducting technical training for service networks or partner organizations

Why This Role

Technical depth is respected here. This isn’t a management role that’s drifted away from the work. You’ll stay close to the equipment, the schematics, and the field — and be valued for it.

Real ownership. You’ll shape how the U.S. service function operates, who it serves, and how it grows. Your fingerprints will be on it.

Growing platform. We’re expanding our U.S. footprint, which means more customers, more accounts, and more opportunity for the person who helps us scale service the right way.

Greenville, SC, offers an exceptional quality of life — and this role is based there full-time with travel as needed, not the other way around.

Competitive compensation and benefits for the right candidate.
