Director of Supply Chain, Confidential Search

Location: Tampa, FL | Reports to: COO/CEO

A growing, well-capitalized company is conducting a confidential search for a Director of Supply Chain to lead end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution. This is a high-visibility role with significant influence over operational performance, cost structure, and the company’s ability to scale.

About the Opportunity

Our client is at an inflection point, with a strong market position, expanding customer base, and a leadership team committed to building a best-in-class operations function. The incoming Director of Supply Chain will own planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory strategy, partnering closely with executive leadership to drive measurable improvements in cost, service, and working capital.

What You’ll Own

• End-to-end supply chain strategy across planning, sourcing, procurement, logistics, and distribution
• Demand and supply planning processes (S&OP), including forecast accuracy and inventory positioning
• Strategic supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and total cost optimization
• Transportation, warehousing, and 3PL relationships across the distribution network
• Building and developing a high-performing team, with succession planning for key roles
• KPI development and reporting to executive leadership and the board
• Technology and process roadmap, including ERP, WMS, and analytics capabilities

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including 3+ years at the Director level or above
• Track record of leading end-to-end supply chain functions in distribution-intensive, multi-site, or high-SKU environments
• Demonstrated success driving measurable improvements in service levels, inventory turns, and landed cost
• Experience leading through growth, transformation, integration, or scaling; PE-backed or growth-stage environment a plus
• Strong analytical foundation; comfortable using data to drive decisions and influence executive peers
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate strategically and dive into the details when needed
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, APICS/CSCMP certifications, or supply chain master’s a plus
