GENERAL MANAGER – INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT SALES & SERVICE

Our client is seeking a General Manager to lead and oversee both sales and service operations within a growing industrial equipment and service organization.

Required Experience
Qualified candidates should have:
Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience within industrial sales, service, or equipment operations
Previous experience managing both sales and service departments
Proven success with full P&L responsibility and operational performance management
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience developing and managing high-performing teams
Strong customer relationship management and business development experience
Mechanical and operational understanding of industrial equipment and service environments
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced industrial operations
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing profitability and operational efficiency
- Ability to develop strategic growth plans and execute business initiatives
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Professional communication and leadership presence
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the General Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading daily operations of both the sales and service departments
- Managing full profit and loss responsibility for the business unit
- Driving revenue growth, profitability, and operational performance initiatives
- Developing and implementing strategic sales and service plans to support company objectives
- Leading, mentoring, and developing sales managers, service managers, and operational staff
- Monitoring department performance, financial metrics, and operational KPIs
- Building and maintaining strong customer relationships to support retention and business growth
- Collaborating with leadership teams to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and resource allocation processes
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Supporting continued growth through business development, customer engagement, and team leadership
