Job Description
Regional Sales Manager – Western U.S. | Foodservice Manufacturer
Remote / Field-Based – Must reside in the Western territory
$80,000 – $110,000 base salary plus bonus
Have you built your career selling to restaurants and foodservice distributors?
If you’ve sold restaurant food products, commercial cutlery, chef apparel, smallwares, or food prep equipment, you already speak this customer’s language. You know how foodservice distribution works, you know your way around a commercial kitchen, and you know how to earn trust with everyone from a distributor’s corporate office to the chef on the line.
An established manufacturer serving the commercial foodservice industry is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to own and grow its Western U.S. territory. You’ll have real ownership: your territory, your relationships, your plan, your results.
Your Territory
Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, Alaska, and Hawaii.
What You’ll Do
- Grow distributor, national account, and end-user sales across the Western region while protecting healthy margins
- Build relationships at every level of foodservice distribution organizations, including corporate leadership, purchasing, sales management, field sales, and operations
- Own direct relationships with end users and key accounts instead of relying on brokers to hold them
- Direct and coordinate broker partners, set their priorities, and make sure agreed actions get done
- Build and carry out your own territory plan, including scheduling, travel, account visits, and follow-up
- Create account plans and sales forecasts based on distributor opportunities, end-user needs, competitor activity, and market trends
- Train distributor sales teams and present to reseller audiences
- Represent the company at industry trade shows
- Bring market intelligence back to leadership on competitor trends, product applications, and marketing program ideas
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of sales experience in foodservice-related markets. Backgrounds in restaurant food sales, commercial cutlery, chef apparel, smallwares, or commercial food prep equipment are a strong fit
- Hands-on experience working directly with foodservice distributors and developing both distributor and end-user relationships
- A solid understanding of foodservice distribution, channel management, and distributor operations
- A track record of growing distributor, national account, and/or end-user business
- An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach. You can prioritize opportunities and manage a large geography on your own
- Comfort with frequent independent travel across the territory
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or a related field preferred
Why This Role
- Competitive base of $80K–$110K plus bonus earning opportunity
- True territory ownership with direct accountability for growth
- An established product line and strong distributor network to build on
- Visibility with national sales leadership and a voice in strategic planning
- Benefits: health, 401(k) and match, car allowance
