Foodservice Designer – Commercial Food Service Consulting-Design-Build-Equip-Install
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Commercial Foodservice Designer with a well-established Commercial, Specialty, Turnkey Food Service Consulting-Design-Build-Equip-Install Company seeking experienced, professional food service facility and operations designers and/or architect or engineer candidates for our fast-track, turnkey, active GC company for projects in an 11-state area. This position is an integral part of our design-build project capabilities and is remote, with a preference for the Southeast Region. This position seeks candidates who can progress to a Design Director role.
Qualifications:
Must be fluent and experienced in AutoCAD & Revit, and can create color renderings as part of a complete Food Service design/build package for projects.
Candidates must be highly organized and demonstrate the ability to manage the complete design process for multiple, simultaneous projects… from the first phone call to site visits to ongoing/interactive meetings to project completion.
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of commercial/retail design/renovation projects, 3-5 years of commercial/brand food service design experience, and be able to demonstrate their leadership/contributions specifically to foodservice projects.
Must demonstrate their knowledge and experience with all aspects of commercial and retail interior buildouts/renovations/remodels for high-volume, commercial food service operations in Higher Education, Business & Industry, Health Care, Sports & Leisure, and C-Store/Retail markets.
Private, regional, and national brand experience is a plus.
The role involves the following key areas:
1. Communication: Proactively communicate with multiple clients to ensure the scope, design process, and timing of deliverables are understood, and expectations are managed successfully.
2. Business Development: Network in the industry with Architects, Developers, and Hospitality Owners, promoting the organization.
3. Design: Lead and coordinate the complete design process from pre-design evaluation, schematic layout, design presentation, through to equipment selection and budgeting.
4. Design Production: Lead and coordinate the production design process from scheduling all the way through to shop review and site punch list, working with clients and contractors to ensure the design project is executed to specification and flow.
5. Administrative: Assist the Director of Design in executing the necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure that Design Contracts are invoiced correctly and timely through the design project phase.
6. Equipment Project Management – Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to ensure the transition of design projects to equipment supply and installation contracts.
Must be proficient with CAD, Revit, AutoQuotes, KCL Catalog, and Microsoft Office products.
Site Visits/Travel to client/project locations required.
