Job Description

Installation Manager – Commercial Foodservice Equipment

Run the Field for One of the Nation’s Most Respected Foodservice Companies

For nearly seven decades, we’ve been the company behind the commercial kitchens that feed New York — and far beyond. We design, build, and supply foodservice environments for the industry’s most demanding customers, and our installation division is the final, critical step that brings every project to life.

We’re looking for an Installation Manager who can lead from the front — someone who knows commercial kitchen equipment inside and out, commands respect on a job site, and has the organizational discipline to keep complex projects on time and on budget. You’ll report directly to the Vice President of Equipment Sales & Operations and have real authority over how the installation function runs.

If you’ve been waiting for a role where your field expertise is treated as a strategic asset, this is it.

What You’ll Lead

Your Team You’ll manage a team of installation technicians — both union and non-union — providing day-to-day guidance, mentorship, and accountability across active projects. Developing your people isn’t a side responsibility here; it’s a core part of the job.

Project Execution You’ll own the installation schedule across all active projects — coordinating timelines, conducting site readiness assessments, managing equipment placement, and ensuring every installation is completed to the highest standard. When problems surface, you solve them before they become the customer’s problem.

The Work Itself You’ll oversee the assembly and installation of commercial kitchen equipment: ovens, refrigeration units, ventilation systems, and the full range of equipment that makes a professional kitchen function. You’ll read and interpret technical drawings, interface with construction documents, and make real-time decisions in the field.

Safety & Compliance You’ll ensure every project meets applicable safety regulations and industry standards — not as a checkbox, but as a non-negotiable part of how your team operates.

Continuous Improvement You’ll identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and sharpen the team’s capabilities — and you’ll have the organizational backing to implement what you find.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial kitchen equipment installation or a closely comparable field
  • Proven leadership over installation or field service teams — union experience a strong plus
  • The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents
  • Strong problem-solving instincts and a calm, authoritative presence on the job site
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and standard business/computer systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • OSHA 62 Supervisor Site Safety Certification, or willingness to obtain it
  • Excellent communication skills — effective with technicians, project teams, and customers alike

The Details

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with overtime, field time, and occasional weekend or out-of-town work as project demands require. This role balances meaningful office time with active field presence — you won’t be behind a desk all day.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.

Benefits include:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
