SERVICE MANAGER – COMPRESSORS

Our client is seeking a Service Manager to lead and support a team of compressor service technicians within a fast-paced industrial service environment.

Required Experience
Qualified candidates should have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial compressor service, maintenance, or related industrial equipment industries
- Previous experience managing or supervising field service technicians preferred
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
- Experience scheduling, coordinating, and supporting field service operations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, leadership, and time management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and service management software systems
- A strong history of maintaining customer relationships and supporting operational excellence
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of field service technicians
- Strong understanding of industrial compressed air systems and related equipment
- Ability to prioritize service schedules, emergency calls, and customer requests effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to professionally represent the company in customer-facing environments
- Commitment to workplace safety and safe service practices
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Service Manager will be responsible for:
- Managing daily operations of the compressor service department and field technician team
- Coordinating technician schedules, service calls, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs
- Supporting technicians with troubleshooting, technical guidance, and customer issue resolution
- Maintaining strong relationships with customers through responsive communication and service support
- Monitoring department performance, productivity, and service quality standards
- Assisting with hiring, training, mentoring, and performance development of service technicians
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures
- Collaborating with sales, parts, and operations teams to support customer needs and business growth
- Managing service documentation, work orders, and operational reporting requirements
- Supporting the continued growth of service business opportunities, maintenance agreements, and customer retention efforts
