Connectivity Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Connectivity Specialist to support the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network and communication systems that keep users and operations reliably connected. This role is ideal for a technical professional who can diagnose connectivity issues, support voice and data services, document solutions, and deliver responsive service to internal and external users.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Install, configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain connectivity solutions that may include wired and wireless networks, internet services, voice systems, routers, switches, access points, and related communication equipment.

• Diagnose and resolve network, connectivity, and communication issues affecting user access, system performance, uptime, or service quality.

• Provide technical support for voice, data, Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN/WAN, and other connectivity-related services for users, locations, or customer environments.

• Perform system checks, maintenance activities, updates, and basic configurations to help ensure reliable and secure connectivity.

• Support hardware installation, cabling coordination, equipment replacement, service turn-up, and testing for new or existing connectivity deployments.

• Monitor connectivity performance, identify recurring issues or trends, and escalate more complex incidents when appropriate.

• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, service requests, troubleshooting steps, equipment inventories, and resolution details.

• Communicate professionally with users, vendors, service providers, and internal teams regarding outages, timelines, status updates, and recommended next steps.

• Assist with network changes, upgrades, testing, and implementation projects while following internal procedures and security requirements.

• Promote a high standard of service, responsiveness, and technical accuracy while supporting business continuity and user productivity.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, networking, telecommunications, computer science, or a related field preferred.

• Previous experience in network support, telecommunications, connectivity support, IT infrastructure, help desk, or a related technical role preferred.

• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting.

• Experience installing, configuring, or supporting routers, switches, access points, modems, voice systems, or related communication hardware is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to different audiences.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, service documentation, and basic security practices is a plus.

• Ability to manage multiple support requests, prioritize effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or other networking and telecommunications credentials may be preferred depending on the role.

Work may be performed in an office, field, operations center, or hybrid environment and may involve scheduled maintenance, on-call support, and coordination with vendors or service providers.
