Emerging Technologies Specialist
We are seeking an innovative, analytical Emerging Technologies Specialist to research, evaluate, pilot, and support the adoption of new technologies that improve business operations, user experience, and organizational capabilities. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional who can translate emerging technology trends into practical opportunities, collaborate across teams, and help guide responsible implementation of solutions such as AI, automation, cloud tools, and other digital innovations.
Key Responsibilities
• Research, monitor, and assess emerging technologies, market trends, and vendor solutions to identify opportunities that align with organizational goals and operational needs.
• Evaluate potential use cases for technologies such as artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, cloud platforms, collaboration tools, and other digital innovations.
• Support proof-of-concept efforts, pilot programs, and small-scale implementations to validate feasibility, value, user impact, and operational fit.
• Document findings, recommendations, business cases, workflows, and implementation considerations to support informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, leadership, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, assess risks, and coordinate rollout activities.
• Help develop adoption plans, user guidance, training materials, and internal communications to support successful technology implementation.
• Track pilot outcomes, performance metrics, user feedback, and lessons learned to refine recommendations and next steps.
• Maintain awareness of governance, compliance, security, privacy, and responsible-use considerations related to emerging technologies.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps, innovation planning, process improvement initiatives, and strategic discussions regarding future capabilities.
• Serve as a knowledgeable resource who can communicate complex technical concepts in a clear, practical way for business and technical audiences.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, business technology, data science, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in technology analysis, digital transformation, innovation, IT, automation, systems implementation, business analysis, or a related role preferred.
• Strong understanding of emerging technology concepts, such as AI, automation, cloud solutions, analytics, workflow tools, collaboration platforms, and digital process improvement.
• Ability to evaluate technology solutions, assess business value, identify risks, and translate technical concepts into practical recommendations.
• Experience supporting pilots, proof-of-concept activities, vendor evaluations, process mapping, or implementation planning is preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Familiarity with governance, security, privacy, change management, and responsible technology adoption principles is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively in a fast-changing environment.
