Job Description
Electrician
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, industrial, or facility environments. This role is ideal for a safety-focused professional who can interpret technical documents, diagnose issues efficiently, and complete high-quality electrical work in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
· Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, breakers, outlets, lighting, motors, controls, and related electrical systems and components.
· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical diagrams, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and complete electrical work accurately.
· Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and tools such as multimeters, voltage testers, and other diagnostic equipment.
· Perform new installations, upgrades, modifications, preventive maintenance, and repairs while minimizing downtime and disruption.
· Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, building requirements, and company procedures.
· Install and terminate wiring, conduit, panels, switches, receptacles, lighting systems, and other electrical devices as required for the project or facility.
· Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards, defects, wear, or code issues, and recommend corrective action when needed.
· Maintain accurate service records, work orders, inspection documentation, materials usage, and status updates for completed work.
· Coordinate with team members, contractors, customers, supervisors, or other trades to support safe, efficient, and timely completion of work.
· Follow lockout/tagout, PPE, ladder safety, arc flash, and other required safety practices while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED required; completion of an electrical apprenticeship, technical training program, or vocational education preferred.
· Valid electrician license or certification may be required based on location, scope of work, and applicable regulations.
· Previous experience in residential, commercial, industrial, maintenance, or facilities electrical work preferred.
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, controls, testing equipment, and troubleshooting techniques.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, technical documents, and code requirements.
· Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.
· Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and testing instruments, and to perform physically demanding tasks in varying environments.
· Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
