Pharmacist
We are seeking a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Pharmacist to ensure the safe and effective use of medications while supporting excellent patient care and pharmacy operations. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacy professional who can review prescriptions, dispense medications accurately, counsel patients, collaborate with healthcare providers, and maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Review, interpret, and verify prescriptions to ensure appropriate medication selection, dosage, route, frequency, and potential interactions or contraindications.
• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards for patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Counsel patients on proper medication use, dosage instructions, side effects, storage, adherence, and other medication-related questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions, optimize therapy, and support patient care.
• Monitor medication profiles and patient information to identify allergies, duplications, interactions, and other potential medication safety issues.
• Maintain accurate records, patient profiles, dispensing documentation, and controlled substance documentation in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
• Support inventory management activities, including ordering, receiving, storage, expiration monitoring, and medication availability.
• Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and other support staff as applicable while promoting efficient workflow and quality service.
• Provide drug information, medication guidance, and health-related education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members as needed.
• Promote a professional, patient-focused, and compliant pharmacy environment that supports safe medication practices and positive health outcomes.
Qualifications
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or equivalent pharmacy degree required based on applicable jurisdiction and role requirements.
• Current and unrestricted pharmacist license required.
• Previous experience in retail, hospital, clinical, ambulatory, specialty, or institutional pharmacy settings preferred depending on the role.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, patient counseling, and problem-solving skills required.
• Experience with pharmacy management systems, electronic records, medication dispensing systems, and insurance or claims workflows is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and patient confidentiality.
• Immunization certification, board certification, or other pharmacy-related credentials may be preferred depending on the practice setting.

Work is typically performed on-site and may involve standing for extended periods, medication verification and dispensing activities, patient interaction, shift work, and adherence to pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and workflow demands.
