- Our client is seeking a Director of Women’s Services, RN, to lead a Labor and Delivery team within a patient-focused, service-driven health system in South Texas.

Required Experience
Qualified candidates should have:
• Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• At least 2 years of hospital nursing leadership experience, with 3-5 years of progressive management experience preferred
• A strong history of building and leading effective nursing teams
• A patient-focused approach to care, communication, and clinical support
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or a related field preferred)
• Current and valid Texas RN license
• Current BLS certification upon hire, with AHA Healthcare Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire
• Specialty or administrative certification preferred
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Director of Women’s Services will be responsible for:
• Providing round-the-clock leadership and operational oversight for the Labor and Delivery department, including any additional assigned units
• Developing and managing the department’s annual operating and capital budgets
• Recruiting, developing, and retaining a strong nursing team, while coaching and supporting staff growth
• Partnering with medical staff and hospital leadership to support quality outcomes, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance
• Monitoring service quality and volume, using data to guide decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Maintaining a safe, well-equipped department through effective purchasing and equipment management
• Serving as a visible, accessible resource for staff, physicians, and other departments
