Nurse Manager, Labor & Delivery — Day Shift

A leading multi-specialty health system in the Seattle, WA area

The Opportunity

• We're seeking an experienced nursing leader to manage day shift operations for a busy Labor & Delivery unit at a major hospital campus.
• The unit handles a substantial delivery volume each month and works alongside a Level 4 NICU, an obstetric emergency department, and around-the-clock anesthesia and neonatology support.
• This is a chance to lead within a system recognized for progressive, patient-centered maternity care and a strong commitment to equity in birth outcomes.
• The Manager will work closely with senior nursing leadership and a broader Women & Children's leadership team, sharing ownership of quality, budget, staffing, and the overall patient and caregiver experience.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of recent hands-on experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
• Prior leadership experience preferred; strong Charge RN or Assistant Nurse Manager backgrounds will also be considered

Required Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program (candidates with an ADN and a plan to complete BSN within two years will be considered)
• Active RN license required at hire
• BLS certification required at hire
• Master's degree a plus, not required

• Own clinical and operational performance for the unit around the clock
• Set and uphold nursing care standards, driving ongoing quality improvement
• Collaborate with clinical education leaders on evidence-based practice updates
• Recruit, coach, and retain a high-performing nursing team
• Advance the unit's diversity and equity initiatives for patients and staff alike
• Advocate for patients on clinical and ethical matters as they arise
