Our client is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This position is located in a skilled nursing facility in Venice, FL

Responsibilities Of Physical Therapy Assistant

- Collaborate with Physical Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.

- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.

- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.

- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.

- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care.

- Provide support in areas such as occupational health, acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, and trigger point therapy.

• Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Physical Therapist
• Contributes objective data to Physical Therapists as allowed by scope of practice
• Provide Physical Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care
• Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, IDT and facility success

Requirements of a Physical Therapist

• Minimum of Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
• A current Florida PTA License
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be computer/tech savy

• CPR Certification (Required)
