Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Our client is looking for a full time, experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join their team at their SNF located in Tampa, FL 33612

SALARY:$35-$38 an hour full time based on years of exp

Responsibilities Of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.

Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.

Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.

Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.

Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care

Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to Occupational Therapist

Contributes objective data to Occupational Therapists as allowed by scope of practice

ProvideOccupational Therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care

Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department, IDT and facility success

Requirements Of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Minimum of Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program

A current Florida COTA License

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Must be computer/tech savy

Previous experience in is preferred in SNF and LTC but will take new grads.

Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices.

Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities.

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with patients.

COTA license in the state of FL (Required)

Ability to Commute: to Tampa, FL 33612(Required)

Work Location: In person

Monday- Friday -no weekends required
