Our client is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join a skilled nursing team in New Port Riche,y Florida. Required Experience Qualified candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current, active Florida OT license — required at time of application
- CPR Certification — required
- Experience with diverse patient populations, with a focus on geriatric and long-term care settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational health principles and medical terminology
- Excellent patient care and communication skills with a quality-focused approach
- Physical ability to lift 5–45 lbs as required by the role
Required Qualifications Candidates must have:
- Active Florida OT license in good standing
- Ability to commute to or reside near New Port Richey, FL 34653
- Ability to work a full-time 40-hour schedule, Monday–Friday
- Strong documentation habits with the ability to maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Commitment to compliance with all company policies and state and federal regulations
Key Responsibilities In this role, the Occupational Therapist will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough patient evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans under physician orders
- Assisting patients in mastering essential activities of daily living including dressing, cooking, and eating
- Providing patient and caregiver education on adaptive equipment usage and therapeutic techniques
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all patient treatments and progress
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to support patient goals and clinical outcomes
- Adhering to all company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
- Participating in mentorship, team-building, and ongoing professional development activities
