Job Description
Front of House Sales Associate
We are seeking a friendly, customer-focused Front of House Sales Associate to deliver an outstanding guest experience while supporting restaurant sales and daily front-of-house operations. This role is ideal for a motivated team member who enjoys greeting guests, recommending menu items, processing orders and payments, and helping create a clean, welcoming, and efficient dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet guests warmly, build rapport, and assist with menu selection by answering questions and making informed food and beverage recommendations.
• Provide accurate information about menu items, specials, pricing, promotions, allergens, and available service options to support a positive guest experience.
• Process orders, payments, refunds, and other point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Support front-of-house operations by maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area, host stand, beverage station, and service areas.
• Assist with restocking front-of-house supplies such as menus, condiments, to-go items, utensils, napkins, and beverage products as needed.
• Help increase sales by suggesting add-on items, featured menu offerings, desserts, beverages, and promotional items.
• Respond professionally to guest questions, concerns, and basic service issues, escalating more complex situations when appropriate.
• Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling practices, side work, and daily readiness tasks in accordance with restaurant procedures.
• Collaborate with team members, kitchen staff, and supervisors to maintain efficient service flow, order accuracy, and a positive guest experience.
• Promote a welcoming, respectful, and service-oriented environment that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in restaurants, foodservice, hospitality, cashiering, customer service, or a related guest-facing role preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with a friendly and professional approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and remain organized during busy meal periods.
• Comfort using point-of-sale systems, handling payments, and performing basic math accurately.
• Ability to support front-of-house cleanliness, restocking, side work, and general dining room readiness.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak service periods as needed.
• Dependable attendance, a team-oriented mindset, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction are essential.
