Our client is seeking a full-time Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead operations at a skilled nursing facility in the Berlin, Vermont area. Required Experience Qualified candidates should have:
- Active Vermont and/or New York Nursing Home Administrator License — required at time of application
- Previous experience as an LNHA or Assistant Administrator
- Minimum 2-5 years of administrator-level management experience in a skilled nursing, assisted living, or residential care setting
- Strong financial acumen with budgeting and operational management experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments without direct lines of authority
- Understanding of payer requirements, employee/labor relations, case management, and cost management in long-term care
Required Qualifications Candidates must have:
- Active Vermont and/or New York Nursing Home Administrator License in good standing
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Ability to commute to or relocate to Berlin, VT 05602
- Ability to report in-person to the facility (no remote option)
- 10+ years of LNHA experience strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities In this role, the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator will be responsible for:
- Leading the overall management of the skilled nursing center, ensuring smooth daily operations aligned with state and federal long-term care regulations
- Championing the continuous improvement of post-acute and long-term care services in response to community needs
- Supervising clinical and operational staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on compassionate, resident-centered care
- Overseeing budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation to maintain operational sustainability while prioritizing quality care
- Ensuring compliance with all licensing requirements, safety standards, medication administration protocols, and health regulations
- Cultivating strong relationships with residents’ families, community partners, and health system leadership
- Managing staffing, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting ongoing staff development and training
- Representing the center’s vision and impact to internal and external stakeholders
