Our client is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join a skilled nursing rehab team in New Port Richey, Florida. Required Experience Qualified candidates should have:
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, active Florida PT license — required at time of application
- CPR Certification — required
- Previous experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred — new graduates welcome and will be trained
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience or interest in geriatrics and physical and rehabilitation medicine
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Required Qualifications Candidates must have:
- Active Florida Physical Therapy license in good standing
- Ability to commute to or reside near New Port Richey. FL 34653
- Ability to work a full-time 40-hour schedule, Monday–Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Strong documentation habits with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Commitment to compliance with all company policies and applicable state and federal regulations
Key Responsibilities In this role, the Physical Therapist will be responsible for:
- Evaluating patients’ medical history and conducting thorough physical examinations
- Developing personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs and goals
- Implementing therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and other evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes
- Working with patients to help them regain movement and manage pain following injury or illness
- Educating patients and their families on home exercise programs, self-care techniques, and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care
- Maintaining accurate and timely patient documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
