Required Experience

Qualified candidates should have:

•       Minimum of five years of hospital critical care nursing experience

•       At least two years of progressive management experience as a nursing manager, full-time charge nurse, or equivalent leadership role in a hospital setting

•       Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing practice across multiple units

•       Proven track record of supporting high-quality, safe patient care and effective resource management

•       Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, and inspire clinical teams

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

•       Associate degree from an accredited nursing school with a bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

•       Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or master’s degree in a healthcare-related field preferred

•       Current and active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice

•       Current CPR certification

Key Responsibilities

In this role, the Director of Critical Care Services will be responsible for:

•       Providing leadership and operational support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) across all designated nursing and patient care functions

•       Assuming 24/7 accountability for assigned critical care units and services

•       Ensuring high-quality, safe, and clinically appropriate nursing care across all assigned areas

•       Overseeing the competency, development, and performance of clinical staff

•       Partnering with the CNO and senior leadership to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing practice on a multi-unit level

•       Managing resources effectively in alignment with patient care needs and organizational goals

•       Serving as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing throughout the organization
