Director of Nursing, Emergency Services – Acute Care Hospital | South Florida

Are you an emergency services nursing leader ready to take the helm of a high-performing ER team? We're partnering with a respected acute care hospital in South Florida to find a Director of Nursing who will drive clinical excellence, operational readiness, and exceptional patient outcomes in one of the most dynamic areas of the hospital.

This is a chance to lead with impact — overseeing the full scope of Emergency Department nursing care while also owning the hospital's emergency management and disaster readiness program. You'll set the tone for a team that thrives under pressure and delivers compassionate, high-quality care every day.

What You'll Do

• Direct the administrative and clinical operations of Patient Care Services, ensuring compliance with hospital, state, and Joint Commission standards
• Develop and implement unit-specific patient care programs, policies, and procedures
• Lead the hospital's emergency management program, ensuring readiness for disasters and regulatory compliance
• Foster a professional, engaged, and growth-oriented team environment
• Drive strategies to grow patient volume and strengthen service line performance

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree/BSN required; advanced degree in a healthcare-related field preferred
• 2+ years of healthcare management experience and 2+ years working in the Emergency Room
• Active Florida RN license
• BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association)
• CPI certification within 30 days of hire
• TNCC certification within 180 days of hire
• NIH Stroke certification within 60 days of hire
