The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Director of Pharmacy Services to lead pharmacy operations at a well-established acute care hospital in East Texas.
This is a strong fit for a pharmacy leader with hospital experience who is ready to own the full scope of a department, from clinical oversight and regulatory compliance to staff development and physician collaboration. The right candidate will bring sound operational judgment, a commitment to medication safety, and the leadership presence to set a high standard for the team.
The facility is a 175-bed acute care hospital with a Level IV Trauma Center and an 18-bed emergency department, serving a broad regional patient population.
$15,000 Sign-On Bonus available. Relocation assistance available to those who qualify.

Required Experience
Qualified candidates should have:
- At least 1 year of pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital setting
- A working knowledge of pharmaceutical procurement, inventory management, and par-level stocking
- Experience collaborating with nursing and physician teams to support patient care outcomes
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and compliance standards in an acute care environment
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
- B.S. in Pharmacy from an accredited program
- Current Texas Board of Pharmacy licensure or eligibility
- Certification in aseptic technique, or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment
Key Responsibilities
In this role, the Director of Pharmacy Services will:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations, including medication preparation, dispensing, and verification
- Manage pharmaceutical procurement and maintain appropriate medication stock levels across the facility and ancillary departments
- Serve as the Class F Pharmacist-in-Charge, with accountability for the safe distribution of all drugs and drug products
- Ensure medication accuracy and compliance by reviewing all medications dispensed from the pharmacy
- Maintain responsibility for pharmacy services extended to the off-site Emergency Department and Imaging Center
- Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff and physicians on drug information and patient drug regimens
- Enter and maintain accurate patient drug information in the pharmacy system
